The ‘eHalal.com’ is a portal which supports several B2B, B2C, C2C and data pools for the sole purpose of promoting Halal products and services across all platforms covering trade, investments, SMEs and industry. The portal is expected to generate halal trade valued at RM300 million in its first year of operation.

The official launch by the Minister of International Trade and Industry Y.B. Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed in the presence of former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was witnessed by more than 1,000 guests at a leading hotel in Kuala Lumpur recently.

eHalal.com portal brings together several e-commerce platforms under its umbrella. The related parties include dindin.com from China with its Halal E-Mall covering the China market and beyond; 11 Street ; Zilzar.com - an e-commerce Muslim lifestyle marketplace; Global Halal Data Pool - the first Halal data pool linked to 34 data pools worldwide; JOCOM - the first Halal compliment mobile grocery deliver service; Tiara TV - a B2C platform linked to the Interactive TV; Shopee - the first M-commerce; AmaxMall - an e-marketplace builder for SMEs; and micro businesses lelong.my and kumoten.com.

Dato’ Sri Mustapa also urged SMEs to fully maximize the potential provided by e-Commerce platforms to widen Halal Malaysia market reach globally. MITI as the leading the National E-Commerce Council, is ensuring that a high level of coordination among regulators and provide an enabling environment for Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
